September 2003

Wow !! Has this been some hot summer or what!!

Well, a start to another season for the best in Hallmark Christmas Ornaments and other categories of bargains. Click here for the complete list.

You will find Hallmark Ornaments, Swarovski Crystal, Hallmark Blown Glass and American Spirit 50 State Quarters items and more as we can add more items. Coming up will be the last of the Harry Potter items and anything else that we can take a picture of and place.

Ahhh........ the merry, merry Month of May. Hope it finds y'all just sprouting away. It's already hot here in Florida and now with most of the Bikers, Racers, Spring Breakers, and the rest of the big events over until Fall the Daytona Beach Area is back to just the normal crowds of tourists and locals. Hope your spring is just as enjoyable.

It seems that there are some who appreciate the Hallmark blown glass ornaments. They are very carefully crafted and painted. Some of the traditional blown glass globes like the Christmas Rose are real works of art. Check them out!!

Hopefully, you have noticed that I have started putting up the American Spirit 50 State Quarters collection. Nice collectibles with maybe a future. For what ever reason, Hallmark seems to have stop issuance of anything past 12/02. I cannot verify the information, but no further scheduled States will be issued, or so I am led to believe.

Anyhow, there is a Figurine (nice metal casting of the state symbol) and Coin sets that are limited edition and numbered.(1of 19,500) . Nice display box, certificate of authenticity, and tri-fold State Facts. There is a two-sided metal ornament engraved with that State's landmarks and historical significance. It is with the coin embeded in the center, visible on both sides. This hefty, finely crafted ornament is a goodie with Certificate of Authenticity and tri-fold State Facts. I use it as a paperweight for my opened mail.

Also, as I get them sorted, is a variety of one coin, (in many cases both the Denver and Philadelphia Mint are available) and also the two coin set (with both the Denver and Philadelphia Mint coins), all uncirculated and packaged at the Mint. Speaking of Spring (huh?), there are some nice spring ornaments still available. Really unique hand crafted goodies.

SHIPPING NEWS

Throught the thoughtful nature of several of my customers (Thanks go out to Sherrie and Sherry) I was advised of a new way to reduce my shipping costs through a program from the US Postal Service. If I print my own postage labels through a java program that you download, I can save the delivery confirmation fee as it is free if I do it myself. The downside is trying to tape them on. Using clear packing tape or other method like paste or glue does not work for me. So I ordered peel and stick labels from a USPS recommended company but they are not free. But it saves some and that is the point. Shipping is now reduced by $.25 which ain't a lot but it's better than a stick in the eye. I am revamping all auctions to reflect that change from $4.95 to $4.70 as it occurs.

We are putting together a deal on hosting websites with all the goodies at real fantastic numbers mainly for the nano-business, you know, the one or two person business. Whether it is to support your Ebay effort or non-auction small business these plans will please you. Grand opening will be sometime soon, (how fast can I go?) so please stay tuned.

A little tip about domain names and reserving them for yourself. If you have been inundated by all the major companies that will register your domain name for a few dollars less than networksolutions.net (35 bucks a year, minimum 2 years to start or 70 dinero) and then charge you to park your domain on their servers until you build your website, they are taking advantage of your good nature. I checked out several registrars and found one that is getting all my business. What a deal!! I registered several domains in just a few minutes and they are automatically parked at the registrar absolutely free. For new domains you come up with the 2 year minimum at $13.50 per year or $27, and renewals are at $13.50 for a year. I don't recommend 5 or 10 year renewals because the whole world changes in 5 years so who knows. They have a domain manager software so you can easily change technical and contact people and server information yourself. It's great. Check it out at http://www.000domains.com

We continue to have a good response to our efforts to help create more successful ebay businesses. The information is free, it's good information, it is brief (five fairly short emails), and it helps you become a better ebayer. No matter if you are a buyer, seller, or both, this information is invaluable to you.

Now, if you are independently wealthy and don't care about the ins and outs of auctions and how it effects you, well, this may not be for you. If that is the case please place outrageously generous bids for all of my inventory.

This little bit of help for those who enjoy their ebaying and would like to become more proficient comes from Ken Evoy and friends at Make Your Site Sell fame. It was written and is the experience of Sydney Johnston, a very successful Ebayer. This is some great information that is free and extremely useful. It has helped me immensely in setting up and understanding auctioneering.

Click here and send a blank e-mail to receive The Net Auction Masters Course... It's an free intensive 5-Day e-mail course that shows you how to start your own profitable auction business... and how to grow it super-big AFTER you empty your attic and basement.
