All make special additions to your ornament collection as well as thoughtful gifts. How about a little Hallmark history!! (from the Hallmark Value Guide) Joyce C. Hall of Norfolk, Nebraska arrived in Kansas City, Missouri on January 10, 1910 with the hopes of starting his own business. Although his resources were soewhat limited (he had two shoeboxes full of picture postcards and very little money), he had a great plan. Wishing to capitalize on the then-current trend of sending postcards, Hall began a mail order business by sending packets of the cards to dealers across the Midwest. While some of the store owners returned the cards; soon checks for the merchandise began to arrive. Within just a few months' time Hall had made $200 - a small fortune for an 18 year old entrepreneur. Even though his initial endeavor was successful, Hall was certain that the postcard trend wouldn't be more than a passing phase. He predicted that there would soon be a market for higher quality cards with envelopes and, willing to take a gamble on the future, Hall added greeting cards to his product line. The gamble paid off and Hall's brother Rollie joined the company. Within three years the company then known as the Hall brothers firm began producing some of their own greeting cards. Within 10 years of arriving in Missouri, Hall had managed to set the basis for one of the countries most successful businessses.
I am getting some very nice Walt Disney Classics Collection pieces. Great auctions of some very valuable collectible figurines and some Disney Treasures Seriographs. Extra Special gifts. The Christmas Globe ornament with Mickey and Minnie is extremely rare and the Minnie WDCC Sculpture from Mickey's Christmas Carol is really well done. The shown seriograph from Cinderella is a fine piece of collectible art. They are all retired special pieces.
Extremely valuable and lovely for your tree are the Hallmark and Hallmark Crown Stores Blown Glass ornaments. They are very carefully crafted and hand-painted. Some of the traditional blown glass globes like the Christmas Rose are real works of art. Check them out!!
There is still some of the American Spirit 50 State Quarters collection. Nice collectibles with maybe a future. For what ever reason, Hallmark seems to have stop issuance of anything past 12/02. I cannot verify the information, but no further scheduled States will be issued, or so I am led to believe. Anyhow, there is a Figurine (nice metal casting of the state symbol) and Coin sets that are limited edition and numbered.(1of 19,500) . Nice display box, certificate of authenticity, and tri-fold State Facts. There is a two-sided metal ornament engraved with that State's landmarks and historical significance. It is with the coin embeded in the center, visible on both sides. This hefty, finely crafted ornament is a goodie with Certificate of Authenticity and tri-fold State Facts. I use it as a paperweight for my opened mail.
Through the thoughtful nature of several of my customers (Thanks go out to Sherrie and Sherry) I was advised of a new way to reduce my shipping costs through a program from the US Postal Service. If I print my own postage labels through a java program that you download, I can save the delivery confirmation fee as it is free if I do it myself. The downside is trying to tape them on. Using clear packing tape or other method like paste or glue does not work for me. So I ordered peel and stick labels from a USPS recommended company but they are not free. But it saves some and that is the point. Shipping is now reduced by $.25 which ain't a lot but it's better than a stick in the eye. I am revamping all auctions to reflect that change from $4.95 to $4.70 as it occurs. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Just for the record I am: Bruce Ehrhardt, UniqueBruce, 765 North Ridgewood Avenue, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 UniqueBruce's Website is http://www.uniquebruce.com and our Ebay Store is : http://www.stores.ebay.com/uniquebruce My email is : bruce@uniquebruce.com ~+~+~+~+~~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~++~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~++~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~++~~+
