Payment Options

As I look around Ebay and some of the other auction sites I find an awful lot of sellers complaining about how they get payments for their auctions from winning bidders. It doesn't seem to matter whether the item is low-priced or high-priced, there is a lot of “we accept paypal, ebay payments and money orders only” or “no personal checks” kind of stuff .

Here at UniqueBruce, I believe that the most comfortable and easiest way for YOU, the winning bidder, is what I will accept for payment. I joke in every one of my auctions about accepting wampum. Although obviously tongue-in-cheek and an exaggeration, it does point to my philosopy to accept as many payment methods as possible. Although we don't accept all the various payment services, we do utilize the most popular. And just short of absurd, we will accept almost all forms of payment.

Here is what we have been accepting up until now. When we add other services I will add them here for your perusal.

Paypal is the number one payment service on the internet. Just recently, even in this cautious environment, they did an IPO and so far they are doing well. I personally use it alot for both business and personal purchases. It can be used for electronic check, credit card and account balance payments. You can use it for other than auction websites that use the payment service. They are aggressive and sometimes obnoxiously so, but you can't argue with their effectiveness and ease of use. They are secure and fairly simple to get signed on with. If you want only one payment service to use, I would recommend this one.

UniqueBruce has no trouble with accepting personal checks, but we do however qualify our policy with a few requirements. Please make the check payable to UniqueBruce. The address on the check must match the shipping address or have a reasonable explaination attached. You must sign your check.(I know this sounds stupid but you would not believe how often this happens) And ....please send it to:

Bank check or Money Order are both acceptable and I know there a lot of my customers who prefer it. It's safe cash. Again, please make it payable to UniqueBruce and don't forget your address for shipment.

I've received cash before but do so at your own risk. If cash goes missing (and it does) payment has not been received to release your shipment. It's crummy, but reality.
